Dennis Rosado: Appreciating the Dad Perspective
“That’s something I think all of us fathers need to realize, that as much as we can be in our kids’ lives, it’s going to pay off, but it all depends on how much effort and time you put into it.”
Today’s special guest on the podcast is Dennis Rosado, the cousin-in-law of our amazing social media producer Jessica, and a dedicated, hard-working father to a two-year old son, with one more on the way!
This episode contains a poignant discussion of Dennis and his wife’s experiences going through the IVF process to have their first son, Kenzo. As Dennis addresses the feelings of isolation and guilt that may arise from navigating fertility as a father, he also offers enlightening words on the importance of seeking support from your loved ones, whether it be from his family, friends, or even himself.
Prevalent throughout our entire conversation is Dennis’ open attitude towards fathers sharing the mental and emotional struggles of early fatherhood, and finding the strength to be vulnerable and honest towards one another to build stronger communities of dads. Our conversation also shifts towards the importance of gratitude, and how recognizing and appreciating our privileges help us live a more enriching life with our partners and children.
Thank you so much for joining us on 2 Dads 1 Car. Massive thanks to Dennis for privileging us with his story, and I hope you get as much out of this episode as I certainly had recording it. Please check us out at 2dads1car.com, and follow us on Instagram for the latest updates!
