Designing Good Fatherhood with Charles Lee
“My fatherhood approach is a combination of people I respect, and who were kind enough to bring me into their homes. Coming from a broken home myself, I didn’t get that from my dad. Fathers have to mentor other fathers, because if you don’t come from a healthy environment, who’s going to guide you?”
On this episode of 2 Dads 1 Car, we speak with Charles Lee, a friend of mine who has come all the way over from sunny Los Angeles to share some nuggets of parenting wisdom with us. Charles is a father to two adult children, founder of a successful marketing firm, and the author of “Design Your Good Life”, a practical guide on how to amplify your personal impact by realizing your values, purpose, and vision.
In our conversation, Charles shares his view on the importance of staying intentional and present in the lives of his children, even in the hectic early days of his entrepreneurship journey. Reflecting on his youth as the son of business owners, Charles speaks on how his childhood experiences inspired him to prioritize spending meaningful time with his children on their own terms. While discussing the support he received from his wife, Tina during the early days of his business, Charles also emphasizes maintaining the partnership between spouses, and understanding that families function best when they work together as a team.
Big thanks to Charles for taking the time to speak with us today on 2 Dads 1 Car! Please check out our website on 2dads1car.com, and follow us on Instagram @2dads1car for our latest updates. I hope you love this episode!
